Last year, Miss Kenya was a victim of intense cyber bullying where KOT turned out in their numbers to throw all manner of insults at her and the organizers of the pageant. Reason? They felt she was ugly.

 

Wangui Gitonga managed to complete her one year term without further incidents, but I’m sure that episode from KOT still haunt her and probably dented her self confidence.

Taking after their neighbours, Ugandans are currently roasting their newly crowned Miss Uganda 2014.

Leah Kalanguka was crowned Miss uganda on Saturday evening in Kampala. Just like Kenya’s Wangui Gitonga, a good number of the population believe she does not deserve the position. Perhaps they forget it’s not only about physical beauty, but also brains.

Leah is a former mushroom and poultry farmer, and she beat 19 other finalists to be the face of Uganda.
